The vision of the Vineyard Church of Wellsboro is to learn together how to become more like Christ and compassionately extend the ministry of Jesus to those around us.  We believe this best happens through relationships, which is why getting involved at the Vineyard is so important.  We offer various opportunities like Vineyard Kids, Revolution Youth, Connection Groups, special get-togethers, and community outreaches.

Vineyard Kids

Welcome to Vineyard Kids! We’re so excited your family is here.

Our children’s ministry provides a very safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children. Every volunteer team member has completed their PA state clearances and is trained to provide your children with the best experience in the Circuit. We also utilize KidCheck, a secure children’s check-in system, to ensure no one can pick up your child without your consent.

NURSERY & TODDLER CLASSROOM

This combined nursery and preschool class focuses on our children building the foundations of their relationship with God and others. Equipped with lots of toys, books, puzzles, and even a bounce house, your child will be well-cared for as they learn to play with others.

0 - 3 YEARS

PRIMARY CLASSROOM

This class helps children learn about faith and dive into how God sees and loves them. We learn about the core values of the Vineyard, how God can and often does change us as we follow and believe in Him, and how prayer plays a major role in our relationship with God.

4 YEARS - 1ST GRADE

This class helps children learn about how to live out their faith in their homes and at school through a relationship with Jesus.  We learn how to demonstrate a love for God and our neighbor.  And, how to practically live it out in our daily lives as Jesus did.

2ND - 5TH GRADE

Statistics show that 67% of all believers make the decision to follow Christ before they reach 18 years old. 42% of them make that decision under the age of 12. Therefore, we take our children's ministry program very seriously. Through creative teaching, fun activities, and meaningful conversation, our children are given the opportunity to learn more about Jesus and how to put their faith in Him, in a safe & secure environment.

Revolution Youth

MIDDLE + HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY AT

SERVICE + SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION

Our Revolution Youth Group is an awesome way to involve the youth at the Vineyard. They have a huge role to play in the Kingdom as the church of the future and the church of the now. They meet regularly on Sunday nights from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM where we have a game, snack, message, discussion, and prayer. There are plenty of opportunities for fun events, as well. This group is welcome to anyone in grades 6th-12th, whether you attend the Vineyard or not.

REVOLUTION YOUTH TAKEOVER SUNDAYS

We encourage all of our youth to actively serve at our Sunday morning service each month. This allows them to prepare for the fifth Sunday when we have a Revolution Youth Takeover. The youth run the entire service, from the welcome team to hospitality, worship, the sermon, and more!

Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. - Matthew 22:37-39

Connection Groups

Connection Groups are an integral part of connecting and growing as a follower of Jesus. Our large Sunday morning gatherings can be a difficult time and place to build meaningful and encouraging relationships with other members of the Vineyard community. We have found our Connection Groups to be a perfect space to build these types of relationships. There is something special about sitting down to a meal with others, while discussing matters of faith and life that cultivate deep, rich relationships.

Our Connect Night follows an 8-week semester and offers a variety of Connection Groups right at the church. Every Wednesday night, participants are invited to enjoy a catered, buffet-style meal, while connecting with others. At the conclusion of the meal, participants will meet with their Connection Group for additional discussion. Topics are varied but encourage both relationship-building and spiritual growth. Childcare is provided. Many of the groups are appropriate for middle school and high school students. Click the “Sign Up Now” button to view the current roster of groups and pick one to try out! Marriage Encounter

Marriage Encounter is a weekend away from home, family, and responsibilities. Here, in a comfortable, secluded environment, a married man and woman are guided through the discovery of a new way of communicating that will help them to know each other better. The Encounter is designed to give couples an opportunity to examine their lives together and develop useful tools to enhance their communication.

The Marriage Encounter journey began in Spain in 1952 as a tool to enable married couples to enrich the quality of their lives. In fact, the name Marriage Encounter is a direct translation from Spanish, where the words take on the beautiful connotation of discovering, or finding one another. In 1966, Marriage Encounter came to America. Today, there are over a million couples who have attended Marriage Encounter weekends. Are you next?

Your Weekend at Marriage Encounter

  • Our Marriage Encounter team makes all the meal and lodging accommodations for the event. Currently, this event is hosted at a hotel in the Painted Post/Corning/Elmira area of New York. Your entire stay, from Friday night's opening session through lunch on Sunday, is hosted by Marriage Encounter.

  • Sessions begin at 7 pm on Friday evening and run through 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. At each session, a husband and wife team and a Vineyard Pastoral couple give an informal talk on various aspects of marriage. Time is set aside following each presentation for couples to discuss privately, away from the group, their relationship as it relates to the topic presented. The weekend is structured, orderly, and informative. Couples will spend the entire time at the hotel, allowing them to concentrate on each other, free from outside distractions.

  • An all-inclusive, non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee of $100 is required to ensure a reservation. At the weekend's close, you will be allowed to donate or give a pledge, sharing in the cost and support of future Marriage Encounter weekends.

    No one is ever refused the opportunity to attend a Marriage Encounter weekend because of a lack of funds. Don't hesitate to contact Wellsboro Vineyard for more information about available Marriage Encounter scholarships.

  • Marriage Encounter is not a typical marriage retreat, marriage clinic, or sensitivity group, nor is it a problem-solving workshop. Couples do not disclose their problems to the group or team couples for discussion or criticism.

    Each Marriage Encounter weekend is conducted by three or four team couples, including a Vineyard Pastoral Couple, who are trained to present the weekend. Many couples face challenges in everyday routines that take away from focusing on their marital relationships and it’s health. Marriage is a very significant and intimate relationship and deserves our attention.
